April 7, 2016 – More than 700 attendees participated in the combined ICSC European Outlet Conference and Retail Connections events in London’s Business Design Center and The Outlet Resource Group (TORG) was excited to be a part of this international event. TORG Principal David Hinkle and I participated in sessions concentrating on the key issues facing outlet centers and retailers, focusing on category performance, emerging trends and new opportunities. Panelists covered numerous topics in depth, including consumer spending and economics, Omni-channel opportunities and luxury global consumer insight.
David and I also had the opportunity to meet with TORG’s European colleagues and partners, finalized relationships with international clients, conducted introductory meetings on exciting projects, and met with European brand representatives.
We were able to hear from numerous high-level speakers who gave great insight into the status of the industry in Europe. Every meeting in an international setting allows us to solidify our industry knowledge and to maintain our deep existing relationships, making us unique in the industry. As usual, TORG was the only American outlet professionals present in the setting.
