Barbara Horatz

Barbara initially worked for 10 years in Paris as a marketing professional in the cosmetics and consumer goods industry, before she moved into the outlet shopping sector in the year 2000, being based in London. She held Senior Management positions in Marketing and Leasing with the two major players in Europe, McArthurGlen and Value Retail as well as a number of new outlet ventures. In 2005/06 as Marketing Director she was part of the turnaround management team for the Designer Outlet Roermond (Netherlands), one of Europe`s biggest and best today. At McArthur Glen, part of her marketing management responsibilities were also the Outlets in Parndorf (Austria), Troyes and Roubaix (France).

After 10 years of full time employment in the outlet sector, Barbara started to work as a consultant, initially in 2010 either on her own with a network of experts in the European outlet sector. Over the years she has advised numerous commercial property developers and funds to help them assess and develop outlet sites, lease new schemes, re-merchandise and optimize existing brand portfolios, elaborate brand and turnaround strategies as well as retail outlet expansion plans. Of German nationality Barbara has an exceptional international background having lived and worked in New York, Boston, Paris, London, Zurich and Cologne today. She has a unique cross-border comprehension of shoppers and brands and an in depth understanding of the European outlet industry. Barbara is fluent in French, English and German.


Robert van den Heuvel

Robert van den Heuvel

Robert entered the outlet sector with Nike Europe in 1998. As a Senior Real Estate Manager, he was responsible for securing factory outlet sites for Nike across Europe, both stand-alone or as part of an outlet centre including McArthurGlen, Freeport, Neinver, Outlet Centres International and Value Retail. Robert worked with Barbara for BVS Outlet Villages on the leasing and various development aspects of Switzerland’s first authentic outlet village, the 21.000m2 Designer Outlet Landquart in its three years before opening in 2009. In 2010 he started his own consultancy providing his services to various developers in the outlet industry. Robert has been involved in developing, leasing and managing schemes in various countries such as Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Croatia and the Czech Republic. Before TORG he became one of the first to be actively involved in the outlet market in China advising local business circles on project developments and leasing new schemes. This included Yurun Outlet in Weihai China with the delivery of authentic, original brands in one of the most difficult markets in the world.

Robert has a very motivating personality, he is an excellent relationship builder. He excels in new business as well as in leasing and tenant relationship building. Robert is an integral and trusted man in the Global Outlet community. He is based in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands.
